lage raho munna bhai

“Lage Raho Munna Bhai” hmmm Gandhigiri…

Even if Sanjay Dutt is my most favourite actor, I never wanted to watch this movie for the only reason: “I hate Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi the most”. I can never accept him neither as Mahatma nor as father of our nation. However, I don’t want to discuss or argue about this with anyone. I know even if you don’t like him you people can neither accept nor digest the reasons for which I hate him.

One evening I had nothing to do and no source of entertainment and the only movie coming on the television was this. Even if it was really very difficult to sit for two and half hours watching that movie, just for sake to come out of the stress I watched this movie, probably a big achievement. Yes, that was really a big achievement. All of a sudden my eyes get caught to something which I never imagined. I became a fan of Raj Kumar Hirani.

1. If you can recall the scene “when Munna Bhai was reading the books in the library for continuously three days”. It showed the positive side of a gangster. Not “Love Ke Liye Sala Kuch Bhi Karega” but the determination power of any Gangster. Will power and strong determination are the only two things which are required for doing anything. It was basically a message for the students.

2. The second scene is “when Munna was proved mad”. Tell me one thing, was that scene really necessary? Yes, you can say that that scene held the flow of the movie. But some other better scene could have been there. But that sequence was chosen, why?
Do you remember, what were the side effects of Shaktimaan? Yes, same thing would have happened here also. No wonder, some people would have tried the same way of reading just to meet M. K. Gandhi. Some people would have started making people fool about Gandhis’s existence. It would have been disastrous. The Director and the Story Writer were well aware of the fact that “Superstitions enter into the mind faster than a bullet fired from a gun”.

No doubt this movie is a great mixture of “Humor and Sentiments” and probably the second big hit in Bollywood as a sequel after Krrish. But I really appreciate the “Film maker” for these two scenes.

Hey, I never mentioned anywhere that I follow that bastard’s ideologies…
