Connect-Quotes

Quotes…who are the authors? People like you and me!!! The only difference between us and them is they could draw their experience into a sentence. Whether understand these or not, one finds them beautiful. Reading quotes has been a passion since my childhood. I have always tried to connect every mode of my life with the quotes and always try to draw my experiences in form of quotes; you know, these are easy to remember…My memory power is just 1GB, so trying to shorten things as much as possible :)

I used to read from Times Of India(Front page) and later i came to know abt a site- http://www.thinkexist.com/
Here are some of the quotes which I like the most and are really very inspiring…

2. Let me just be the way I am. Flowers do not try to flower, they flower; birds do not try to fly; they just fly. I do not try to lead; I just lead, with affection, dignity and respect — (Vasant Ganpat Rajadhyaksha, Ex-Chairman of HLL)
3. Every thing you wanted to be, you already are. It is just a matter of reconnecting — (Unknown)
4. Don’t walk as if u rule the world but rather walk as if u don’t care who rules the world that’s….. attitude! — (Unknown)

Presentation

Presentation is the process of presenting the content of a topic to an audience. But while presenting it’s not only the content but the style, the flow also matters a lot. But the most important thing would be ‘to hold the interest of listeners’ through out the presentation. But how many people should present on a topic? 1? 2? 3? Or more? Let’s see!!!

A group was presenting on a retail store. It was a retail management lecture. A lady started with a beautiful introduction of the retail store. She went on presenting around 10-12 slides. Then she passed on to a guy to present rest of the slides. No doubt the guy was also equally competent. But I lost my interest as the second presenter started. He has a different style of presenting. Both of them have their own way of presenting. My mind got use to with the lady’s presenting style. But a sudden change in the style of presenting broke down my interest.

My View

I think there should be just one presenter who should present the whole topic. Even if the content is boring, the style of the one presenter holds the attention of the audience for a long time. Ofcourse I am assuming the presentation will be of half an hour at max.

I discussed the same thing with one of my friend Nikhil. He said, “The presentation is a team effort and it should be presented content wise. Like: a guy who is good at finance part, he should present that part of the topic; a guy who is creative should take the introduction part and so on”.
But I am saying about the STYLE of presenting the content.

The FIRST PRIORITY should not be the content. Because the Ultimate goal of every presentation is “your stuff to get heard, understood and convinced”.

What do you say, guys?
